So after smacking my head against the second zone boss for a while, I realized from a stat point that my character skills are not increasing any more. That’s right, they cap you on the upgrades you are allowed to do. I was stuck here for about another 10 deaths before I capped the upgrades. The devs had the opportunity to really get wild with what power ups can do and how they relate to the music.

I really wish they were more creative here as I feel the power ups don’t really make a huge difference when it comes to gameplay. The mechanics are similar to Slay the Spire in that as you progress, you collect power ups that enhance your abilities. Gameplay (Controls/Mechanics/Loop/Difficulty) – The controls are great and tight, which you need to be for a twin-stick shooter, so no complaints there.
